Classic wooden boat plans is a collection of established wooden boat designs ranging from the early 1900’s to about 1970. Some of our own designs are Banshee, Custom Barrelback 19 and the Deep V inspired by the Donzi Sweet 16, Bantam. Other plans include Chris Craft, Hacker, Gar Wood, Riva, Switzer, barrel back, Baby Bootlegger, Flyer, Teaser.

Designed by Bruce N. Crandall approx. 1936. Flyer is the largest of the Crandall hydroplanes, Class C 135 Cu.
Every frame has been redrawn from the original line drawings and table of offsets to reproduce the Flyer into an easily assembled boat.
There are 15 frames, 2 keels, twin hatch assembly, vertical cleats, gas tank fixing, drivers bench seat, breast hook, front and rear stems with knees etc. Flyer was originally built using planking 3/8” so all frames have been designed to this.
